• Plan, develop, organize, write, and edit operational procedures and manuals
• May produce content for embedded user assistance technology.
• Conducts interviews with various users and technical staff to gather data for documentation.
• Researches and translates technical information into manuals and/or web-based documents for nontechnical and technical users.
•May document engineering processes and specifications.
•Recommends formats responsive to technical and customer requirements.
•Produces products that conform to the company documentation and quality assurance standards.
•Research, develop, and document technical specifications, test scripts, and protocols
• Produce electronic documentation in addition to hard-copy manuals
• Manage technical documents in an electronic document management system
• Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation
• Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content
• Manage updates and revisions to technical documents
Basic Qualifications:
• Associate's Degree
• 3 years of technical writing experience in a scientific environment
Preferred Qualifications:
• Good documentation practices (GDP)
• FDA-regulated environments
• Laboratory systems
• Capable in MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint
• Documentum and SAP experience a plus
• Nonconformance and deviation management
• Building consensus among subject matter experts
• Process mapping
• Harmonizing documentation across groups
• Document control including document management systems
